Harlow on top of the World

On 24th January at Potters Leisure Resort Greg Harlow realised his life's ambition to become World Indoor Bowls Champion. As many of our members will be aware Greg has secured a number of National and WBT titles over the past years but this was the big one. Having reached the final in 2006 and being beaten by Mervyn King, greg had never lost belief in his ability to bring the title home to Ely. His form during the championships was outstanding and in the final he defeated qualifier and surprise of the tournament Stuart Anderson. Celebration went long into the night and sore heads were much in evidence the next morning. We're all very proud of you Greg, Champion of the world.
